MELTRIC Introduces New Voltage Indicator
MELTRIC’s brand new voltage indicator is now available for purchase. This uniquely designed voltage indicator allows you to safely test a MELTRIC receptacle for voltage and proper connection. The product consists of a MELTRIC inlet with a plug cap and a handle that is prewired to the voltage indicator. This allows you to quickly connect the voltage indicator to a wired MELTRIC receptacle. This is a safe, simple, and effective method to ensure that your MELTRIC receptacle was installed correctly, by indicating which contacts are energized. It provides you with verification and reassurance that a proper connection has been made and that you can safely power your equipment using MELTRIC devices.
The voltage indicator is also designed to provide impact resistance for enhanced durability in all applications.
The indicator LEDs flash at different speeds depending on the voltage. The flashing speed is faster at higher voltages.
The Voltage Indicator has both AC and DC capabilities. For DC voltage only the inner LED flashes. For AC voltage both LEDs flash.
Proper connection will be indicated as shown above. The phase LEDs will be flashing (not solid red as shown) and the ground LEDs will be off. If the ground LEDs are on there is voltage present and immediate attention is required.
