Product Overview
Horsepower ratings have increased for the DSN20 Switch-Rated plug and receptacle.
The new UL and CSA HP ratings are:
• .75 hp @ 120VAC 1Ø
• 2 hp @ 240VAC 1Ø
• 3 hp @ 208VAC 3Ø
• 3 hp @ 240VAC 3Ø
• 7.5 hp @ 480VAC 3Ø
• 7.5 hp @ 600VAC 3Ø
In addition, the device is now UL rated with the pilot circuit. The CSA rating of devices with the pilot circuit is in progress and is expected within the next 2-3 months pending review of the UL file. DSN20s with the enhanced UL and CSA HP ratings and the UL rated pilot circuits are available for shipment. View the updated listings in the online MELTRIC catalog.

Are these plugs and receptacles UL listed?
Yes, they are listed to UL 2682 and UL 1682.
Are these devices CSA listed?
Without pilots, they are CSA listed to 182.1. The CSA listing with the pilots is currently pending CSA review of the UL file. The approved CSA listing with the pilot circuit is expected within the next 2-3 months.
What’s different about the DSN20 pilot contacts?
Unlike other DSN and DS products, the DSN20 pilot contacts are only on the receptacle side and create a continuity loop that is completed when the plug is connected to the receptacle. The pilot circuit is in the interior of the receptacle and is not visible to the user once the device is installed.
