Operational Update – Covid-19 Impacts – March 27, 2020
Meltric takes the Covid-19 situation very seriously and has implemented appropriate measures to help protect its employees, customers, and suppliers from potential exposure to the virus. At the same time, we also take our customers’ needs seriously and are making every effort to ensure continuity in the timely delivery of product, service, and support. This is obviously an evolving situation and further updates may be required, but here is what you can expect for now:
Order Fulfillment (UPDATED)
Meltric’s factory remains fully operational however some of our key component suppliers have had to shut down. At this point we have a good inventory position and are still able to fulfill customer orders for most standard catalog items as usual. Lead times on special products requiring components from other suppliers may now be extended some. This will be determined during the quotation process.
Customer & Technical Support
Customer and technical support personnel will be available by telephone and email as usual from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Daylight Time. Some will be working from our office in Franklin and others will be working remotely. We don’t expect a noticeable impact on service levels, but apologize in advance if response times are occasionally not as prompt as usual.
Sales & Marketing Support
MELTRIC Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Specialists and Marketing personnel will provide support and conduct business from their offices by phone, email, web meeting, Skype and/or other methods. At this time, they will travel or meet in person with customers only in response to emergencies or other exceptional circumstances. As independent small businesses, Meltric Sales Reps will handle customer interactions in a manner consistent with the governing guidelines established for their specific territories and their management’s directives.
Please feel free to contact your Sales Rep, MELTRIC Regional Sales Manager, or Customer Service with any questions or concerns. Please join us in staying healthy and in praying for the rapid containment of the threat this virus poses!
